Makers & Shapers

You can't take the sand and salty air outta a gal from WA I guess, so a move to the Surf Coast of Victoria wasn't too far removed from my roots, albeit 10 degrees colder (let's not talk about the weather).

In the past 6 months I've started surfing regularly, got back into my art, set up a cactus plantation and taken on some fun freelance projects like creating photo and video content for evanssurfboards.com while designing his website and other outdoor campaigns.

Check out the link if you're in the running for a handshaped surfboard. This is quite the artform that not many people have the privilege to watch or partake.

Torquay is steeped in surf history, and this year, I'll be putting together some more video content and profiles of some of the best shapers in the area. Stay tuned.

Love seeing the artful craft of creation coming into shape with human hands. It's easy to assume pressed, production line and forget that passionate artisans are producing products that provoke appreciation, superior performance and even an heirloom to be passed to the next inline appreciative grommit!
